So I've never had a blog due to my lack of computer skills and me having to be a perfectionist and never knowing what to write about but what's the hurt in trying right?

As if the weather here in New York couldn't be any colder,
I've began my search of stores that have released their spring 2013 collections
online to help keep me from falling into a deep, cold winter depression. After
spending the day watching old episodes of Sex and the City and drinking some
chia tea (sooo good) and scrolling through Polyvore I came across so many blue
shoes that don't contribute to my winter blues, but actually make me want to
wear blue in the spring. I just recently bought a pair of Cynthia Rowley blue,
suede loafers that took me weeks to convince myself I'd wear, but now after
seeing all of these blue shoes I'm kinda impressed that I was "ahead of
the game" and I've reassured myself that they won't sit in my closet like
half of the other items I buy. It's nice to see that there are so many
different ways to wear colored shoes since me being a New Yorker, I always tend
to gravitate towards the darker, neutral color which annoys me when I look at
my shoe collection and find all black, brown, and tan shoes. Here's the link
that takes you to the slide show of different blue shoes they've put together
to help add some color to your wardrobe. Blue shoes

Blue suede shoes - love! I also tend to wear neutral shoes... it's easier to pair them up with everything in my closet. But there is something to be said for a bright pair of shoes!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I noticed when I visited NYC for the NRF Big Show a couple weeks ago was this trend in men's shoes where the uppers are a normal black/brown shoe, but the soles were bright blue and bright red. I'm waiting for that trend to creep into Boston! It's like Louboutins for men.
Welcome to blogging! Looking forward to seeing what you post for our Creative Fashion Presentations class this semester!
Love the splendid oxfords from polyvore. Funny how you mentioned buying fun items that end up sitting in your closet - I actually got a pair of oxfords similar to those you pictured, let them sit for 3 months, and eventually gave up on them. sometimes if an item isn't you, it's just not worth it - cute as it may be.
